Hello there!
Back again with a mid-week blog post; hope your week is
going wonderful so far. Mine has been great! Monday was laid back, got some
laundry done and was treated to some amazing lasagna, compliments of Yvonne. Tuesday
brought an impromptu shopping trip to Grande Prairie. Then, I returned home and
met up with Kristina for dinner at the Blue Bridge Restaurant followed by her hen
party, thrown by her sister. Kristina’s Wedding is in two days! Crazy how fast
it’s come, looking forward to it. Today
was wonderful! I started the day by having brunch with Yvonne, Crystal, and Mom.
It was lovely to get out and laugh with the girls, and Java Domain always has great food. After brunch we went thrifting
and I bought some new linens, scarves for my hair, buttons, and two of the sweetest
teacups you’ve ever seen. We also stopped by the fruit truck from British
Columbia to get some fresh fruit. They had my favorite, white cherries! Soooooo
excited! When we came home there was a quick thunder storm, I LOVE thunder storms.Later, we had some delicious pineapple chicken for supper. This evening
I’m relaxing, writing my blog post, and listening to the angelic warbling of Miss
Billie Holiday. It’s been a perfect summer day! Hope your day was just as
lovely.

Spring flew swiftly by, and summer came; and if the village had been beautiful
at first, it was now in the full glow and luxuriance of its richness. The great
trees, which had looked shrunken and bare in the earlier months, had now burst
into strong life and health; and stretching forth their green arms over the
thirsty ground, converted open and naked spots into choice nooks, where was a
deep and pleasant shade from which to look upon the wide prospect, steeped in
sunshine, which lay stretched out beyond. The earth had donned her mantle of
brightest green; and shed her richest perfumes abroad. It was the prime and
vigour of the year; all things were glad and flourishing.
