The Dog Days Are Over!

Hello All,

Well, Summer is coming to a close and I for one am not going to ask where the time went? or lament over its passing. I’ve enjoyed every minute of Summer and can’t wait until same time next year, but, Autumn is coming and it holds just as much promise! I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures, bright colors, settling into routine, and drinking many cups of Bengal Spice tea (best tea of life). While I am looking forward to the Autumn season I will pay homage to the last days of Summer with this post. I give you an insider’s look into the last leg of my summer vacation.

After the family wedding, I met up with my besties (again) and we roadtripped across the Island to my parents retirement home. Located in a little town called Heatherton.  The girls and I got to spend the next week together, it was so great! We traveled to local tourist destinations, ate at some greasy spoons, had tons of photo opts, and made some really great memories. The week was so amazing, I was very sad when it came to an end. I treasure every moment I get to spend with these girls, we are closer then friends... we are sisters. It’s been two years since we’ve seen each other. I hope time apart, in the future, is much shorter. So blessed to have them both in my life! As different as we are, we seem to fit perfectly, like a puzzle. There are some people who come into your life and make you a better person; I’ve been lucky enough to have these two!

P.S. Denise, Thanks for letting me use some of your photos!
