Family wedding!

Hello, Hello, Hello!

Long-time no see! Sorry for the hiatus, but the past few weeks I’ve been vacationing in some remote parts of the island where Internet connection was sketchy at best. However, I am now home, safe and sound, and with Internet connection! Although, I didn’t mind the few weeks of technological disconnect. I think sometimes we need to do that. I’ll take sand in my toes and a windy stroll on the beach over Internet connection any day. I guess I should fill you in on the next leg of my visit home. After leaving my hometown of New-Wes-Valley, I headed to Lewisporte to attend a cousins wedding. Our family, all the aunts and uncles, had rented cabins for the weekend. It was so nice to have everyone together in one area. Something we don’t do often enough. I loved getting to see all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course my Nan. I’ve missed them all so much these past four years. Even when you do get to vacation back home you never seem to get enough time to spend with everyone. The idea of everyone bunking next door to each other was awesome! We had plenty of time to catch up. Michael and Meagan’s wedding was held on Saturday. I got to wear my new, red, polka doted, dress (I love it). I found the dress at a privately owned boutique in B.C, and got it for half price! I LOVE a deal! The nuptials were lovely. Michael was handsome in his RNC uniform and Meagan was beautiful. Michael surprised his bride, and everyone else, with a poem he had written for her. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. The reception that followed was great, good food, and some exceptionally funny speeches. We ended the night with a family fire at Jon and Karla’s cabin. The next day it was time to pack up and head to the West Coast, to my parents retirement home. Man the time flew by. The few days we got to spend together was amazing, I love it when family can come together like that, and over such a happy occasion!
