A Mardi Gras Murder!!!

Hello out there,

Hope your week is going well, mine is going quite fast. We are into final and Diploma exams already. This time of year seems to fly by, before you know it summer break will be on my door step. I will be happy to welcome her.

This past weekend we hosted a murder mystery to celebrate my brother, Jon’s, 30th birthday.  His actual birthday is on the 14th of June, but with such a busy month we planned to have it a little earlier. The theme of the party was Mardi Gras. There were balloons, glitter, and boas for everyone. The invited guest made the night a success, everyone really got into their characters, and the evening went smashing! Most of the people involved seemed to have a good time. I was very happy and impressed by the effort that everyone put into their costumes and character development. Jon enjoyed himself; he played a French cook scorned by the victim. I played the victim’s gold digging, entrepreneurial wife, from Vegas. It was an interesting character to play. Other characters included a family lawyer, a French maid, a spoiled heiress, her back woods bayou boyfriend, and a local writer.  The cast was great and the night was set for murder! We all had a fun time.

I won’t let on who the killer is, just in case you ever play the game yourself. I will leave you with some photos of the event! Enjoy.
